POST-EASTER TEMPLE SERVICE "Historial de las violetas"
Join us MAY 2nd. for “Historial de las violetas” a Post-Easter Temple Service to honor the underbelly of pre-teen spiritual heat. Pastor Erin Honeycutt and Cantor Pictorial Candi will unearth erotic fables from the extraordinary uruguayan writer Marosa Di Giorgio (1932 - 2004) and unveil scenes from argentinian filmmaker Lucrecia Martel’s “La niña santa”, narrated atop from Honeycutt’s eponymous novelette. The liturgy will progress with a performance of Cantor Pictorial Candi’s mini play “El Gran Picoteador”, inspired/based on Marosa Di Giorgio’s stories. Proceeding, Oona Montadon and Rebekah Smith will dig up texts from their own salty quarry.
Following an intermission for refreshments, both eclesiastic and secular, Cantor Pictorial Candi will present another mini play of relevance and depth, followed by more piquant Marosa Di Giorgio and the original sweaty writings of Rebekah Wood and Mica Toscano.
A la postre, we will have our liturgical aquiescence of our Temple’s motto: No mud, no lotus. Everyone’s participation will bring much joy to our community and enable a more fruitful egg hunt.
Drinks and music and fade out.
May 2nd. Doors at 19:30. Starting 20:00 sharp.
At Post Office Berlin: Kopenickerstrasse 31, Floor Z
